Pressed Turkey Sandwich with Bacon & Apple Mayo
- 8 Slices Sourdough Bread8 Slices
- 3/4 Pound Farmer John® Turkey Breast3/4 Pound
- 8 Slices Farmer John® Classic Bacon, Cooked Until Crisp8 Slices
- 4 Slices Havarti Or White Cheddar Cheese4 Slices
- 1 Bosc Pear1
- 1/4 Cup Arugula1/4 Cup
Apple Mayo (Recipe: BlackPepperChef.Com)
- 2-3 Apples (~ 500 G)2-3
- 100 ML Vegetable Oil100 ML
- 1 Tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar1 Tsp.
- Salt
- Black Pepper
Instructions
Wash apples and remove the core. Make a shallow cut around the entire circumference of the apple.
Put the apples in a fireproof dish and bake at 400°F until soft, let cool.
Use a spoon to remove the pulp of apples, place pulp in a blender. Add salt and pepper and apple vinegar, whisk well.
Slowly add vegetable oil in a thin stream to the mixture, continuing to beat until it’s the consistency of mayonnaise. Leave to cool.
Sandwich Instructions: Cook bacon until crispy in either skillet or in oven on greased baking sheet at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
Sandwich Instructions: Spread apple mayo on each piece of bread. Layer turkey, bacon, cheese, and pear on bread. Spread butter on each side of bread.
Sandwich Instructions: Cook the sandwiches in either the preheated panini grill or in heated skillet until crispy and golden brown, about 5 minutes. Place arugula in sandwich and serve immediately.
