Directions
Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large nonstick skillet. Add Polish sausages and cook until browned. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and keep warm.
In the same pan, add the onions and sauté about 10 minutes until translucent and caramelized.
Add the butter to melt, then flour and whisk through until completely mixed with the onions. Slowly add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, half & half, and black pepper. Add salt to taste. Continue whisking until the gravy is smooth.
Transfer the Polish sausages back to the pan to warm through.
Homemade Mashed Potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut into large cubes. Rinse in cold water. Place the cut potatoes and garlic in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and cook, partially covered, until potatoes are easily pierced with a knife. Drain well and mash the potatoes. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix until potatoes are creamy.
To serve: Mound some mashed potatoes on a plate and top with one Polish sausage. Drizzle with onions and gravy and add green peas on the side.
