Dry Rub Ingredients
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Cut beef franks into thirds and set aside while making the dry rub.
Dry Rub: Combine all the ingredients together. Coat beef franks with the yellow mustard, then sprinkle the dry rub evenly over the meat.
Drizzle the melted butter over a sheet pan, then spread the beef franks out on the pan.
Bake for 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes so they crisp up on all sides.
After baking, slather barbecue sauce all over the beef franks. Serve using toothpicks and don’t be shy with your sauce!
Cooking tip: Add wood chips to create a nice, gentle smoke flavor. You can use hickory or mesquite chips for your smoker, or liquid smoke if that works better.
