Smoked Sausage Bites with Plum Dipping Sauce
Make-Ahead Plum Dipping Sauce
Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut sharp cheddar cheese into 30 same-size cubes. Set aside.
Cut sausage links into 1-inch slices. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes until the sausage starts to brown around the edges.
Remove the pan from the oven and top each sausage slice with a sharp cheddar cheese cube.
Top each cheese cube with a whole green grape. Place the skewer through the top all the way down into the sausage.
Place assembled bites onto a serving platter and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with plum sauce on the side.
Make-ahead Plum Dipping Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and let cool. Refrigerate covered overnight. Serve warm or cold.
