1 Pack Farmer John® Hardwood Smoked Polish Sausage 3lb., Cut On An Angle ¼” Thick (16 Slices)
 
1 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
 
2 Bell Peppers, Small-Sized, Assorted, Julienned
 
1 Yellow Onion, Medium-Sized, Peeled, Julienned
 
1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
 
1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper
 
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese Sauce, Prepared
 
4 Mini Sub Roll, Halved, Toasted

Directions
1Peppers & Onions: Melt unsalted butter in a medium-sized sauté pan over medium-high heat.
2Peppers & Onions: Once melted, cook bell peppers and yellow onion for 10-12 minutes or until the vegetables are soft, stirring frequently.
3Peppers & Onions: Season with salt and pepper and keep warm until ready to use.
4How to Make Subs: Sear sausage slices over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side or until each side is an even brown color.
5How to Make Subs: Meanwhile, heat the cheddar cheese sauce on the stove until hot.
6How to Make Subs: Take one roll and place 4 slices of browned sausage on the bottom half of the roll.
7How to Make Subs: Top with a ¼ cup of the sautéed peppers and onions. Add 2 tablespoons of cheese sauce over top.
8How to Make Subs: Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
9How to Make Subs: Serve immediately.
10Tips & Tricks: Alternatively, the sausage can be cut into sections rather than slices.
11Tips & Tricks: Mini Smoked Sausage Subs can be kept warm in an oven set to 250°F oven. Cheese sauce should be added right before serving.
